Why read historical fiction?
Reading about characters set in those periods helps to make that time and the people who lived then feel more real. It can add personality and emotion to what can sometimes seem like a series of dates and names. But history is all about people and societies that have come before - it's all about stories, and what we can learn from those who have come before us.
