Researching your Australian Historical Figure

DEFINING
- What do you already know about the topic?
- What do you have to find out?
- What are some keywords you might search for?
LOCATING
- Search for information using the keywords.
- Use the following resources (in this order):
- Books - search the library catalogue
- Online databases and encyclopaedias + General websites
- Websites given to you by your teacher
- Navigate using the tabs at the top of the page
SELECTING
- Which information is the most useful to you?
- Write notes to help answer your research questions. Use the SQ3R format.
- Record where you got the information from.
PROCESSING AND ORGANISING
- Sort the information under headings.

- Create your presentation.
